Welcome to Yearbook! Yearbook is an elective course open to DCIS High School students. Yearbook is a yearlong course, culminating in the creation and distribution of a high-quality, full-color yearbook.
Students in yearbook build and develop skills in communication, literacy, design and layout, business principles, grammar and writing, and time management. Yearbook is unique in that it requires students to be self-motivated and manage their time well. While students will not have traditional homework, many assignments must be completed outside of class. Yearbook is also an incredible team-building opportunity, as it is essential that everyone performs their role to the best of their ability in a timely manner in order for us to succeed in our goal of designing, creating, selling, and distributing a yearbook that DCIS students will be proud of.
Class materials- students must have a dedicated yearbook notebook. This should be brought to class every day, along with a pen or pencil. A laptop and/or camera are not required, but if students have access to a laptop/tablet this is extremely helpful and these devices should be brought to class whenever possible.
